Job Summary 

cGMP Consulting is seek an experienced Metrology Technician to support the Metrology Department in a GMP Manufacturing Facility. This position is responsible for maintaining, calibrating, and troubleshooting measurement instruments used in manufacturing processes and quality control, create calibration reports and maintain calibration records within an electronic system. Additionally, the position is responsible for ensuring accuracy and compliance within GMP regulations. 

Responsibilities 

  • Perform routine calibration of measurement instruments (temperature, pressure, weight, flow, etc.) to ensure accuracy. 
  • Maintain calibration records in accordance with GMP, FDA, and ISO standards. Ensure all instruments meet regulatory requirements. 
  • Diagnose and resolve issues with metrology equipment, coordinating repairs when necessary. 
  • Conduct validation studies to confirm instrument reliability and accuracy. 
  • Identify opportunities to enhance calibration procedures and improve measurement accuracy. 
  • Work with engineers, quality assurance teams, and production staff to ensure measurement  consistency. 
  • Provide guidance on metrology best practices and assist in audits related to measurement systems. 

Requirements 

  • Associates degree in Engineering or a relevant discipline, or trade qualification plus 2-4 years experience in a GMP Facility.
  • Calibration and troubleshooting skills.
  • Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Compensation and Benefits 

  • Expected pay range per year: $25-30 USD/Hour 
  • Expected benefits include: Medical, Dental, Vision, PTO, 401K
